I hope your summer has been wonderful, relaxing, and hopefully even adventurous! Most importantly, I hope you had the opportunity to spend precious time with family and friends.
My family has had a great summer celebrating my husband's many milestone landmarks. In June, Corey was honored to receive the Collier County Physician of the Year Award and all 3 of our kids flew in to surprise him at his award ceremony. In July, Corey turned 60, so our family planned a surprise trip to Jackson Hole where we biked, hiked, went whitewater rafting, and mountain climbing. In August, Corey will be awarded the Florida Medical Association's highest honor, The Distinguished Service Award, for his years of advocacy and service to patients and the profession of medicine. We are all so proud of him!
Personally, I was honored to receive two professional recognitions. My alma mater, the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine, named me Voluntary Faculty
Teacher of the Year. They also elevated me to Assistant Professor status. For decades I have taught targeted sessions for Dermatology Residents and enjoy seeing the level of enthusiasm and commitment these young, new doctors bring to medicine. So, these recognitions truly touch my heart.
This is Mona’s first summer with us at YHCD after moving from the east coast of Florida to join us. If you haven't had the opportunity to meet Mona, she is an absolute jewel in the YHCD crown. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and well-versed in all aspects of aesthetic medicine, she is a remarkable teacher with a gift for being able to listen to your interests and desires, explain complex procedures or techniques in an easy-to-understand way, and help you achieve your aesthetic goals.
As for the rest of our staff at YHCD, they are enjoying some much-deserved vacation time so that they can be fresh and ready when season rolls back around. Speaking of season, we’ve got some great events in store for you! We planned something exciting events this September through February. Two of the events will be virtual events on Facebook Live – so you can “attend” from your couch or patio by logging in to Facebook. We’re also planning a live injection event and a big Open House in October. If you attended our 25th Anniversary event in 2022 you know how great these big events and the give-aways are! Be on the lookout for more information on all these events coming soon...
In other news, we are selling a few products at half price through September. One of those on sale is my beloved Leaf it to Me™ skincare line. Four years ago, my daughter Aubrey and I curated and developed these products as “nutrition for your skin”. They’re 95% naturally-derived and mostly organic (kind of like me and Aubrey!). However, Aubrey is pursuing new adventures as a global marketing manager, and my schedule just won’t allow me to give the time (and love) needed to grow and maintain this line. I love each of these products and 50% off is a tremendous value to anyone wanting great results with plant-based products.
Wishing you a wonderful end to your summer and hoping to see you soon!
All my best,
Dr. Cyndi
