I want to thank you, each of you, and all of you. Thank you for being my patient and my best advertisement! You’ve been incredibly supportive of both me and my practice for over 25 years. A special thanks to those of you who have welcomed my new PA,Mona. This year’s season has been one of the best ever and we have you to thank for it.
This time of year is very special to me. The Spring calendar includes three special dates celebrating the three most important aspects of my life. And I have you to thank for the first one!
National Doctors Day was on March 30th. As the first physician in my family, I clearly remember with elation and pride the day I was accepted into medical school and the day I graduated with the honor of adding MD to my name. I am forever grateful to be a physician. And this year, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness and affection I received from my patients and staff in celebration of Doctors Day. Thank you!
April marked my wedding anniversary to the man I still love “to the moon and back”. Corey has been my partner in love and life for 30 years, and this year we are marking that milestone by zip lining, hiking, and biking in Moab, Utah! Not only is Corey a wonderful husband, but he is also a better father to our three kids than I could have ever hoped. Fatherhood just comes naturally to him. So, celebrating my anniversary is really celebrating the life and family we’ve made together.
May also marks Mother’s Day. I credit so much of who I am –and by extension who my kids have become – to my mother. Gone way too soon, she is still adored and in my thoughts daily, making me smile. For me, being a mom is my single greatest joy in life. There’s no way to express the depth and breadth of my love for my kids. I am thrilled that they still want to hang out with Corey and me!
So, you can see why this time of year is so significant to me and how the three most important facets of my life are celebrated during this tiny window of time. Again, thank you for being part of one of the very best parts of my life – being your doctor is an absolute joy.
